Why we love this product
- Produces compost within 30-90 days
- Able to break down complex food and garden waste
- Composts all year round!
You can hot compost all year round with the HotBin 200 Litre Compost Bin, which can breakdown food and garden waste quickly into rich compost.
Traditional compost takes 18 months to mature in a cold heap at 10 degrees Celsius, but takes just 90 days in a HotBin running at 60 degrees Celsius!
The HotBin 200 Litre Compost Bin traps the heat generated by the bacteria and microorganisms within the bin as they breakdown your food waste, which speeds up decomposition.
The bottom air inlet plate and the air outlet rotating valve provide effective aeration so that the composting process remains aerobic. Excess water is removed through the valve as steam and allows you to control the rate of heat loss.
The HotBin can achieve hot composting between 40-60 degrees Celsius, and as higher temperatures are achieved, you can go on to compost garden waste including leaves and grass cuttings.
Made from Expanded Polypropylene or EPP, the HotBin is made of just 4% raw material and 96% air making it extremely resourceful and efficient!
- Clever design reduces the need for compost turning
- Produces compost 32x faster than traditional cold composters
- Reaches and mains a consistent temperature between 40 and 60 degrees Celcius
- No foul smells thanks to an inbuilt biofilter

Top Tip
-
Keep it clean.
Make sure there's no food waste left lying around the base of the bin, as this could attract rodents.

Where should I put my HotBin?
The HotBin works well anywhere, whether it's in the sun or shade. However it should be placed on a flat, hard surface to discourage it being used as a nesting site.
