Why we love this product
- Composts a range of food waste effortlessly
- Works all year round
- Only needs tending once a year
The Green Cone Food Waste Digester uses energy from the sun to transform your food waste - including cooked food, meat, fish and dairy - into nutritious soil conditioner with no turning or stirring required.
The Cone needs to be dug into a hole in well-draining soil (not clay or chalk) in a sunny spot.
When you empty your kitchen caddy (included) into the Green Cone, the food waste lands in the Cone's underground basket; worms and micro-organisms enter the basket and digest the waste. Because the basket is underground, any odours are absorbed by the soil. More than 90 per cent of the Cone's contents are reduced to nutrient-rich water which drains out of the basket and feeds surrounding soil. No compost is produced.
Regular additions of accelerator powder add extra beneficial bacteria to speed up the breakdown of waste.
This pack includes a kitchen caddy, accelerator powder starter pack, instruction manual.
Made in the UK from 100 per cent recycled plastic.

Where should I position my Green Cone?
You should locate your Green Cone in a sunny, well drained area of the garden, where it can be dug into the soil easily. The black Digestion Chamber basket should be dug into the ground, as this allows the nutrients from your digested food waste to be carried out into your garden soil by microbes and worms. The Solar Cone connects to the Digestion Chamber, sitting above the soil, with a hinged lid that provides easy access to the cone for you to add food waste.
